BOC Mini-Grants and Programs Supported

   
The Bethel Outing Club provides mini-grants to programs and individuals, consistent with the mission and purposes of the club.  Applications and Information are available at the club’s Google Group site.Examples of programs that have been supported in recent years.Telstar High School and Middle School cross-country ski teamsGould Academy cross-country ski team, Crescent Park School and Woodstock Elementary School after-school ski programsBOC Bill Koch Youth Ski League (13 and under plus 8th graders 14 or under)

BOC senior/master informal ski group

New England Nordic Ski Association, our umbrella organization for Nordic skiing ( www.nensa.net )

Non-competitive and fun cross-country skiing sessions that promote parental and adult involvement.  Our practices are free, but we request membership in the Bethel Outing Club  and regular youth participants should join the Bill Koch League ($20/yr. at www.nensa.net) or form available at our sessions.  Official Bill Koch events are open to youth 13 and under, and 14-year old 8th graders.

Parental help as a volunteer on weekends is greatly appreciated!  If you (or you and a friend) can help or organize an activity or two for a practice session, please let Brad Clarke know in advance.  The weekend program is 100% volunteer!

CPS After School skiing. . . at Crescent Park School.  In 2010, the program will be for 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th graders and run by Marie Keene (2nd-3rd), Beth Clarke (4th-5th) and parent volunteers.
